"Please, I want to stay," Jessie pleaded.
Armina turned to Jessie with a patronising look on her face.
"You do not understand any of what you have seen or where you have been,"
"But I will in time, just like back home. No-one's born knowing and understanding everything." Jessie suggested. "You can live to be a hundred and still have heaps to learn."
Armina continued around a small mobile phone accessories stall with her head held high.
Jessie followed close behind.
"We are nothing like you." Armina stated.
"Well, I've figured that much out for myself," Jessie said. "But-"
Armina stopped so suddenly that Jessie almost walked straight into her.
"The answer is no!" boomed Armina, whirling around to face Jessie. "Mortals have never been allowed in our Realm for as long as it has existed, so they do not belong. You are no exception."
Jessie's temper soared. She had had enough of being condescended and treated like some insignificant animal. "So how come I've been in your precious Rea
